Wabash Trace is a trail enjoyed by Iowa locals and often overlooked by Omahans. It’s lush forested areas, rolling hills, and creek beds make it a terrific place to walk, bike, or take your engagement photos.
Wabash Trace’s Wooden bridges that were converted from rail bridges make an amazing backdrop for photos.
This is why I love the midwest so much. Fields of wildflowers, greenery everywhere, and kind, loving people.
Wabash Trace is a super long trail and there are countless spots on the trail to take engagement photos. After spending a day exploring the trail on my own, I suggested that we use the trail entrance near Mineola, IA. It was the perfect mix of forested stands and bridges within easy walking distance.
I love exploring almost as much as I love photographing couples in love. If you want to go on a little adventure together and capture some great moments together, I’d love to hear your ideas! Or, drop me a line if you want to hear some of my absolute favorite locations around Omaha.
